#NightCity is a #mixedmediaart taken from one of my early sketchbooks. It has a lot of my early exploration into blending styles using watered down #acrylicpaint to create an almost #watercolor effect over cut out images of #NewYork and a #womansface in the rain.
This painting never really felt complete to me but I also have felt over the years it would be a disservice to try and go back to add to it. So it lies somewhere between a work in progress and a monument to an effort that fell short. I enjoy looking at it since it always makes me think of what I could’ve added to it to “finish” it and in doing so gives me ideas for works in progress.
