This is my latest gel plate painting titled "A Wall of Love" which was inspired by a photograph I took of my close friends Rafael and Andreina shortly before the birth of their first child. Some moments hold a timeless emotional weight and this was one of them. I wanted to preserve that feeling by turning it into a painting that reflects the tenderness and joy of that chapter in their life. The original photo was taken in Wynwood against a vibrant graffiti wall, and I carried over those colors into the piece to maintain the energy and atmosphere of that setting.
The painting uses soft and cool tones to capture the gentle strength of their bond and the sense of peace and anticipation they shared. It is a celebration of love, connection, and the beginning of a new family. I believe art has the power to capture and hold emotion in a way that words often cannot. In creating this piece, I hoped to honor not only their relationship but also the universal desire for deep, enduring love and the meaningful commitments we make to each other.
