This painting grew out of my fascination with organic forms and the quiet conversations that happen between color and shape. As I worked, I let the earthy greens, soft peaches, and pale blues blend into one another like shifting layers of landscape or memory. The loose outline framing the central mass felt to me like a boundary that is trying to hold something that cannot be contained. Inside that space, the two circular forms emerged almost on their own, one light and open, the other dark and dense, creating a sense of balance between growth and decay. I wanted the soft textures and sweeping movements to feel like a living surface, something that changes depending on how the viewer approaches it.

For me these two central forms represent opposing forces that exist in all of us. The lighter circle suggests curiosity and renewal, while the darker one speaks to the heavier emotions we sometimes carry. They are held together within a single body of shifting color, just as we hold many different truths at once. The painting is a meditation on how these energies coexist, influence one another, and ultimately shape our inner landscape.
