My latest artwork, titled "Do Not Underestimate How Much Chaos Someone Will Create To Avoid Facing Themselves," functions as a raw psychological mirror dropped directly into the public square. Designed to break down the boundaries between formal gallery environments and everyday life, this installment in the "Word on the Street" series takes original art out of quiet, controlled spaces and places it right onto the pavement. Left randomly on a sidewalk, a curb, or a forgotten alley corner, it transforms a routine location into an impromptu exhibition stage, turning an ordinary daily commute into an unexpected moment of sudden self-reflection.

At its core, the piece explores the destructive, defensive mechanisms of human behavior and the lengths to which people will go to escape their own internal realities. Rather than sitting with uncomfortable truths, guilt, or vulnerabilities, individuals often construct elaborate external turmoil—drama, conflict, and distraction—as a smoke screen to evade self-examination. By rendering this intense declaration in bold, electric-pink bubble lettering wrapped in soft blue halos over a weathered cardboard backdrop, the visual presentation mimics the very nature of chaos itself: vibrant, loud, and impossible to ignore, yet masking something deeper beneath.

Placing this heavy piece of social and emotional commentary directly onto the physical streets creates an immediate, compelling contrast with the city around it. Amidst the rush of traffic, pedestrians, and commercial noise, the artwork confronts passersby with a sharp, universal truth about the modern human condition. It forces the accidental finder to pause mid-stride and consider not only the chaotic people in their own lives, but also the subtle ways they themselves might be creating noise to avoid looking in the mirror.
