Here is my latest artwork titled "La Directora", an 8.5" x 11" acrylic on cardstock created using a gel plate transfer technique. This portrait honors the incredible Michelle — known to many as super mom, therapist, colleague, and fierce advocate for her tenants and community. Her strength, compassion, and unstoppable energy inspired every detail of this piece. Starting with a gel transfer base, I built the portrait in reverse, layering copper for her radiant hair and painting a green dress pressed with a floral pattern — a symbol of both her vibrant femininity and her unyielding, grounded spirit.
The background glows with warm hues of yellow and orange, representing the heavenly aura Michelle carries with her — a light that touches everyone lucky enough to know her. She’s not just a mother; she’s a daily miracle worker, balancing life with grace, love, and purpose. "La Directora" is a tribute to her multidimensional strength and the way she uplifts every space she enters.
