This piece is the first pull of what turned out to be a four-part series I created to honor a truly special family and their journey. “Enzo Gold” was the initial creation, ultimately replaced by a more intimate close-up that better complemented the final series. Still, there's something about this original version that I cherish—it carries its own energy and sentiment. I gifted it to my friends so they could pass it along to grandma, a gesture wrapped in gratitude. Inspired by a moment from their engagement session, this artwork represents a beautiful full-circle moment for all of us. From capturing their love through my lens to reimagining it on canvas, the process has been humbling and profoundly meaningful.
Blending photography and painting felt like the most natural expression of this story—two mediums woven together, much like the connection that inspired them. “Enzo Gold” reflects the youthful spirit and timeless grace of the family’s youngest, and with every brushstroke, I aimed to preserve that essence. Creating this piece was deeply personal—I poured my memories, my emotion, and my respect into it. My hope is that it shines with the same warmth and love that they’ve always given so freely.
