"Colorful Sienna" is an 8.5" x 11" gel plate transfer of a photograph of my daughter, created as a companion piece to "Colorful Jack." While both pieces share a vibrant, expressive background, the colors in this one are arranged in horizontal lines, symbolizing the structure and order she naturally brings into our lives. The background is alive with rich, dynamic hues, yet she remains a steady presence within it—balancing the energy with her quiet strength.
To highlight this contrast, I chose to color her in a neutral gray, allowing her form to stand apart from the chaos of color. It reflects her calm and introspective nature, a beautiful counterpoint to the lively world around her. This piece, like its counterpart, captures more than just a portrait—it’s a representation of personality, love, and the unique way each child shapes our world.
