Word on the Street
My latest work, Amor Vincit Omnia (Latin for “Love Conquers All”), is an 8.5" x 11" mixed media piece on cardstock that channels both elegance and vibrancy. The background features intricate gold swirls that lend a sense of ornate richness, reminiscent of classical motifs or illuminated manuscripts. Layered atop this decorative base are bright orange and light blue bars, rolled on in a spontaneous yet deliberate rhythm, breaking the symmetry and bringing the piece into a contemporary, almost urban space.
Across this interplay of the opulent and the raw, the phrase “Amor Vincit Omnia” is written boldly, serving as both declaration and reminder. The composition as a whole reflects a clash and harmony between beauty and disruption, love and chaos—where the message asserts itself not with delicacy but with presence. It’s a meditation on how love—messy, radiant, defiant—cuts through everything.
