Mail Art South Florida
This is my latest painting titled "Mini Ras," a five by seven inch acrylic on watercolor paper. It was created as part of my ongoing involvement in the Mail Art Movement, where I continue to share elements of Florida’s wildlife, politics, culture, and community with the world. For this work, I chose to highlight an old friend and fellow artist, someone I consider infinitely more talented than myself and a true legend in the Miami graffiti scene. His influence reaches back to the BSK days in the 1990s when his work, along with KVEE’s, could be seen across South Florida, from Pennet to Fifth Street in South Beach and beyond.
Over the years, he has inspired countless graffiti artists, and through his evolution into fine art, he has carved out a unique space that commands respect in both the street and gallery worlds. His work now stretches coast to coast, seen on city walls and the sides of trains while also finding its way into galleries that showcase his name and style. "Mini Ras" is my tribute to his creativity, resilience, and lasting impact on the culture of Miami and beyond.
