Roots Ras Reggae
Roots Ras Reggae
Acrylic on Cardstock (Gel Plate)
8.5” x 11”
2025

This is my latest painting titled "Roots Ras Reggae," a 8.5” x 11” acrylic on cardstock paper. It is the second pull of this picture of Ras Terms, created especially for one of his many fans. For those unfamiliar with him, Ras Terms is a fellow artist who I consider infinitely more talented than myself and a true legend of the Miami graffiti scene. Back in the BSK days of the 1990s, his work alongside KVEE’s could be seen all over South Florida, from the Pennet to Fifth Street in South Beach and beyond, leaving an unmistakable mark on the cultural landscape of the city.

Over the years, his influence has shaped countless graffiti artists, and his evolution into fine art has only expanded his reach and legacy. Today his work can be found coast to coast, painted on street walls and rolling by on the sides of trains while also hanging inside galleries that honor his name and creativity. "Roots Ras Reggae" is my small tribute to his artistry and the impact he continues to have on Miami, South Florida, and the broader world of art.
