My latest piece is titled "Dos Rosas en un Jardin," an 8.5 x 11 inch acrylic on cardstock using the Gel Plate transfer technique. This portrait features my coworker and her sister, inspired by a tiny photo from the 1980s that captured a beautiful moment between them. I leaned into the retro feel of the original snapshot by using soft aqua and gold tones to bring out the nostalgia and warmth. The two sisters are posed closely together, offering a quiet but powerful glimpse into the bond they share. The composition and color palette give it a timeless, vintage charm that speaks to the purity of sisterly love.
