Tunnels
Tunnels
Acrylic and Ink on Cardboard
10” x 10”
2025

This is my latest painting titled "Tunnels," created with acrylic and ink on the back of a Mister 01 pizza box. It is part of my ongoing practice of repurposing everyday materials that would normally be discarded into meaningful works of art, giving them a renewed purpose and second life. By working with cardboard and other found surfaces, I aim to show how creativity can emerge from what is often overlooked. This piece reflects that philosophy while also continuing my exploration of abstract forms and textures.

For "Tunnels," I used leftover paints from other artworks combined with paint markers to build layers of color and depth. The overlapping lines and shapes gradually evolved into something resembling highways or underground tunnels, capturing movement, passage, and the unseen pathways beneath the surface. This spontaneous evolution of the work highlights the way abstraction can lead the imagination, opening up multiple interpretations of form and meaning.
