Abstract
This is my latest artwork titled A Silly Kind Of Blue. It is an abstract piece created with a mix of lime green, salmon, black, and a shimmering royal blue that flows and drips across the cardstock surface. The movement of the colors gives the painting a sense of rhythm and spontaneity, as if each brushstroke is caught in motion. The deep and rigid black marks stand boldly against the softer flowing hues, grounding the composition and creating a striking visual tension that pulls the viewer in.
Over these layers, translucent blue circles shimmer with subtle light, adding depth and a sense of mystery to the overall piece. I have been drawn to using circles lately, and they seem to appear naturally in my recent works, symbolizing movement, continuity, and focus. Each circle feels like a quiet pause within the chaos of color and texture. This piece reflects a balance between control and freedom, structure and flow, much like the emotions that inspire it.
