Religious
I created this piece in November as a way to merge my Word on the Street practice with typography, abstract art, and my faith. The background grew through layered fields of green, red, purple, and blue, applied intuitively so the surface could carry movement, emotion, and texture. I wanted the colors to feel active and lived in, creating a space that could hold both uncertainty and hope.
Across that abstract ground I wrote the words of Isaiah 41:10, allowing the passage to exist within the painting rather than simply sit on top of it. The verse reads, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” For me this piece is about offering reassurance in unexpected places, letting faith quietly meet the viewer through color, text, and presence.
