This abstract composition unfolds as a layered field of gesture, texture, and restrained color, inviting slow and attentive looking. A dark vertical form anchors the left side of the painting, counterbalanced by a broad horizontal band of muted ochre that stretches across the surface like a visual pause. Surrounding these structural elements, veils of gray, teal, and blue are worked and reworked, creating a sense of depth that feels both built and eroded over time.

Circular and arc-like marks emerge from beneath the surface, suggesting motion, cycles, or fragments of an underlying order. These curved forms soften the rigidity of the vertical and horizontal axes, introducing a quiet tension between structure and spontaneity. Subtle flashes of red, green, and turquoise flicker through the muted palette, offering moments of warmth and interruption within an otherwise contemplative atmosphere. The varied textures—scraped, brushed, and pressed—give the painting a tactile presence that records the artist’s process as much as the final image.

Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, the work operates as an emotional and spatial experience, allowing meaning to shift with each viewing. The interplay of opacity and transparency suggests memory, uncertainty, and accumulation—ideas that resist clarity yet feel deeply familiar. In this way, the painting functions as a visual meditation on balance and dissonance, where order is continually challenged by intuition and the act of making itself.
