More Abstract
With Pastelio I wanted to step into a lighter and more whimsical realm while maintaining the complex layering that defines my artistic process. The title reflects the soft and inviting palette I chose using gentle pinks blues and oranges to create a sense of warmth and movement across the canvas. Unlike some of my darker or more thematic works this piece focuses purely on the emotional resonance of color and the way light seems to filter through various translucent layers. It is a celebration of the softer moments in my creative journey where the goal is simply to capture a feeling of peace and vibrant energy.
To achieve the depth and texture seen in Pastelio I utilized my signature approach of acrylic layering and the unique markings of the gel plate. I allowed the paint to build up in certain areas while keeping others thin and airy to create a visual rhythm that feels both spontaneous and intentional. Every mark and subtle gradient is designed to pull the eye deeper into the composition inviting the viewer to find their own stories within the abstract forms. This work represents a breath of fresh air and a reminder that even in an abstract space there is a profound sense of structure and harmony waiting to be discovered.
