"The Narcissist's Reflection" explores the stark divide between a carefully crafted outer persona and the hidden reality lurking just beneath the surface. On one side, a young girl appears innocent and somber, framed by cool blue tones and dressed in traditional patterned attire. Her hands press gently against the reflective glass, projecting a harmless and gentle facade to the world.
Step through the looking glass, however, and a menacing identity reveals itself. Her reflection transforms into a horned, glowing-eyed figure draped in deep red against a fiery background of burning orange and gold. The somber gaze sharpens into malice, laying bare the vanity, ego, and subtle malice hidden behind a picture-perfect exterior.
Through bold color contrast and raw textural detail, this piece captures the visual duality of self-delusion and deception. It invites viewers to look beyond polished appearances and confront the shadows that often disguise themselves behind a mask of virtue.
