My latest portrait, titled "Sweet Dolly" was born out of a profound love, deep respect, and the desire to honor a figure I hold incredibly close to my heart. Over the years, through countless visits to the Great Smoky Mountains, I found myself learning more and more about Dolly Parton, her humble beginnings, and, most importantly, her boundless dedication to that community. To simply call her a local legend or a home-grown superhero would be a gross understatement—she was the beating heart of the mountains, transforming countless lives through her unwavering generosity and philanthropy.
Looking closely at the artwork, the piece captures the larger-than-life warmth and radiance that defined her entire presence. Rendered with fine-line detail and dense, textured stippling, her iconic, joyful smile immediately commands the canvas.
