“4 AM” continues the deep exploration of depression in “The Inside Joke: Down To The Bones”, expanding on the foundation laid last year with “The Inside Joke: The Bare Bones of Narcissism”. This new collection pushes beyond narcissism to confront other dark, hidden corners of the human psyche. In this piece, a female skeleton lies awake in the quiet stillness of the night, curled up in bed while the world outside slumbers. Drenched in heavy nocturnal blues and cyan tones, the composition conveys the weight of internal isolation that comes with acute depressive episodes.
The visual narrative centers on the vulnerability of insomniac hours, where restless thoughts trap the mind in an endless loop.
