Just finished my latest piece titled Baby Blue Is Trouble and I’m thrilled to share it with you This 8.5 by 11 inch painting is acrylic on cardstock and built around a gel plate transfer that brings the subject to life in a striking and unexpected way It features a tattooed woman rendered entirely in rich shades of blue set against a bold hot pink background The contrast is electric and the tension between color and expression gives the piece its unique edge
Her hand around her neck serious eyes and unruly hair create a visual mood that is both captivating and unsettling There's a sense of wild energy and unspoken backstory that makes you wonder exactly what kind of trouble Baby Blue is bringing The layered textures and emotional weight in this work are what make it feel alive to me It’s fierce feminine and full of mystery
