Abstract
This 5” x 8” mixed media piece, created with my son @buffalojackart, is a celebration of creativity passed down through generations. We cut pieces of his preschool art and layered them onto cardboard, then painted around them to form an abstract composition. The bright orange background radiates warmth and energy, while a black and white spotted figure adds contrast. A bold blue circle drips downward, symbolizing the fluidity of inspiration—how art flows from one generation to the next, blending the old with the new.
At its core, Generational Art is about more than just paint and paper—it’s about shared moments, learning from one another, and watching creativity take shape through fresh eyes. The mix of structured cutouts and spontaneous drips reminds me that art, like life, is both intentional and unpredictable. These are the moments that matter—passing down the joy of creation, one brushstroke at a time.
