Your Next Move Matters More Than Your Last Mistake
Mixed Media (Acrylic, Ink, Spray Paint) on Cardstock

2025

My latest piece is titled "Your Next Move Matters More Than Your Last Mistake," an 8.5 x 11 inch mixed media artwork created with acrylic, ink, and spray paint. The words are hand lettered in flowing cursive across a backdrop of layered and rolled paint in deep reds and blacks. The composition reflects both emotional tension and resilience, a reminder that progress often emerges from pressure and mess. The textures serve as a visual metaphor for the complexity of our choices and the power we hold in what comes next.

This piece is as much about mindset as it is about mark making. The phrase speaks directly to the moments we all face after a setback or misstep, urging reflection without fixation. By placing these words over a chaotic yet controlled background, I wanted to reinforce the idea that beauty and clarity can come through disruption. It is a mantra for growth, a reminder to move forward with intention.
