Blind Flowers Grow Wild
Blind Flowers Grow Wild
Acrylic on Cardstock (Gel Plate)
8.5” x 11”
2025

My latest piece, Blind Flowers Grow Wild, is a gel plate print featuring the bust of a blindfolded woman with long, straight hair. Her figure is rendered in warm oranges and yellows, with delicate floral prints blooming from her chest—symbolizing the beauty within. The deep, dark red background intensifies the emotional weight of the work, while the word “blind” is scrawled across her blindfold in a raw, handwritten cursive graffiti style.

This is a statement piece about our modern, narcissistic culture—where loyalty, love, and family have been traded for vanity, over-sexualization, and the relentless chase for likes. In this blindness, we lose sight of the raw, unfiltered beauty of who we really are. Still, like wildflowers, our true selves continue to grow—untamed, unseen, but deeply rooted in something real.
