More Word on the Street
My latest artwork, "Love, Amor, Amore'", is a 4.5" x 6.5" piece crafted with acrylic and ink on recycled cardboard—a nod to both sustainability and the raw, imperfect nature of human emotion. The background is a storm of red, beige, and black splashes and smears, echoing the intensity, unpredictability, and beauty of love itself. It’s messy, it’s loud, it’s passionate. Layered on top are the three iterations of the word "love," each styled uniquely to capture the many ways this feeling moves through our lives, cultures, and hearts.
“Love” is first—written in a delicate yellow cursive that feels timeless and elegant, a tribute to love’s romantic, almost poetic roots. Then comes “Amor,” bold and bright in red and yellow graffiti-style bubble letters—symbolizing the loud, expressive, modern face of love as seen in today’s world. Finally, “Amore’” appears flipped upside down at the bottom in a flowing cursive script, a deliberate twist to reflect how love can turn our lives upside down, disorienting us while still remaining beautiful. This piece is a small but potent exploration of how love evolves, surprises, and marks us.
