Abstract
Encircled is an abstract painting created on the back of a Mister 01 pizza box, part of my ongoing practice of transforming discarded materials into meaningful works of art. This piece continues my effort to repurpose what might otherwise end up in a landfill, using texture, imperfection, and spontaneity as creative tools. The surface carries the subtle history of its origin while providing a raw and organic foundation for layered expression. Across it, light purple rainbow lines move in gentle arcs, weaving through areas of rolled black and white paint that bring balance, contrast, and motion to the composition.
Shimmering aqua circles float within this network of lines and textures, creating a rhythmic sense of energy and connection. These circular forms, both transparent and reflective, evoke continuity and unity within the abstract field. The interplay between the geometric and organic invites the viewer to find meaning in repetition and form. Encircled is a meditation on transformation, renewal, and the beauty that emerges when art and sustainability intersect.
