Abstract
When I began this piece I let instinct guide every mark. The layered strokes of white, red, and soft pink emerged as I moved across the surface with quick shifts in pressure and direction. I wanted the textures to feel raw and immediate as if they were still settling into place. The earthy background helped anchor the motion while creating a sense of quiet beneath the more energetic gestures.
As the composition grew I found myself exploring the contrast between delicate touches and bold spontaneous lines. The result feels like a record of many small decisions that shaped the final atmosphere of the work. It holds both tension and softness which is exactly what I hoped to express.
