Control was painted alongside Master, the two works developing in parallel as a single exploration split into opposing forces. The title is a direct nod to Tron and the idea of systems that guide behavior while quietly shaping choice. While Master leans toward presence and authority, Control lives in movement, tension, and the constant negotiation between structure and freedom.

In this piece the circular forms feel tighter and more compressed, as if pressure is being applied from multiple directions at once. Lines overlap and repeat, creating a sense of surveillance and regulation, while the arrows push inward and outward at the same time. I allowed the surface to build through layers of color and gesture, letting moments of resistance and disruption remain visible rather than resolving them cleanly.

The color palette here is more urgent, with sharper contrasts and brighter interruptions breaking through the softer fields beneath. Yellows and greens collide with deeper reds and blues, suggesting signals, warnings, and systems in flux. Control is about the push and pull between order and chaos, and how that balance is never static. It exists as a map of influence rather than a fixed command, always shifting depending on where the viewer chooses to focus.
